MICROSHIELD T 500ML

A gentle antiseptic wash solution specially formulated for sensitive skin

Composition - The active ingredient is 1.0% w/v Triclosan. It contains surfactants, emollients and moisturizers which are specially selected for their mildness to the skin and compatibility with Triclosan. The activity of Triclosan is formulation dependent. The pH of the product is the same pH as skin, pH 5.5.

Actions - Triclosan is bactericidal and bacteriostatic causing non-specific disruption of the cell membrane resulting in cell destruction. On the skin Triclosan has activity against most Gram positive and negative bacteria and most fungi, as well as activity against viruses. Triclosan is highly effective against MRSA. The activity of Triclosan is both immediate and residual.

Indications- Antimicrobial handwashing for healthcare personnel especially those with sensitive and damaged skin.
